Workplace Conflict Resolution Seminar
Today, small businesses, mid-sized organizations and major corporations have more conflict within than ever before yet management and key employees have typically received little or no training on resolving conflict.
Both Jack Welch and Bill Gates have expressed that they consider constructive conflict management as a strategic priority because it has a major effect on productivity, decision making and retention.
Studies indicate:
• Leadership spends 30% – 40% of their week managing conflict.
• 85% of employees spend time dealing with conflict.
• Over 36% of employees frequently spend time managing conflict on the job.
The National Institute For Mediation is addressing this issue head-on with the Workplace Conflict Resolution Certification Seminar. This seminar is for leadership, management, and key employees in areas such as Operations, Human Resources, Legal, Engineering, Information Technology, and Customer Service, Marketing . . . any area of your company that requires employee interaction and team success.
The Certification Seminar will include lecture and practical application through exercises and role plays. The seminar topics will provide the attendee with a greater understanding of how and why conflict occurs, the cost to organizations for unresolved conflict and effective management tools for resolving conflict. Federal and state laws concerning employment will be discussed and how organizations can avoid violations, problematic situations and the appearance lack of concern. Attendees will work through the role of personalities, trust and power, challenging conversations, and managing the four generations now in our workforce.
The Workplace Conflict Resolution Certification Seminar will be held at in Houston, Texas at the Mays Business School, Texas A&M campus in City Centre at I-10/Sam Houston Tollway 8 on April 8th and 9th from 9:00 – 4:00.
