Facilities

At the Institute for Mediation, we have facilities designed to help you earn your mediation certification in Houston, Texas. We pride ourselves on the fact that we hold our training sessions in actual mediation rooms. While other schools conduct their mediation training programs in hotels and conference centers, we give our students the authentic experience.

During the day, our mediators utilize our 28 mediation rooms to do their work. On nights and weekends, those rooms transform into classrooms, where students learn about the art of mediation and practice their skills in mock mediations. All of our mediation rooms are sound proof and comfortable.

Most classes meet in the evenings and on Saturdays, but the advanced family mediation training class meets once on Sundays. If you interested in a mediation training class, please contact us for more information and training schedules.

Our facilities are second to none. We hold our classes and our mock mediation sessions in actual mediation rooms where mediators work every day doing actual mediations. Unlike most schools that hold their training either in a hotel or a small office where there is one conference room and maybe one caucus room, We have 28 rooms designed for and by mediators. You will love the experience!

We set the gold standard when it comes to mediation training. We have limited class size so we can better instruct and care for the students as they learn. Our faculty has over 120 years of combined experience as mediators. Our faculty combined has over 30 thousand mediations under their belt. You will be learning from the pros.

Our facilities are second to none. We hold our training classes in the same facilities that our full time mediators work every day. While other competing schools think it is okay to hold their training in the lobby of hotels, we at the Institute think we want our students to have absolutely the best and to train in a realistic surrounding. Our rooms are sound proof, comfortable, quiet, and pleasing to the eye. It is easy to see how this environment makes things much easier to learn.

When possible our classes are held in a manner that does not require a student taking off a week at a time to get the training. Most of our classes are held either in the evening or on the weekend, usually Saturdays. The advanced family class does meet on one Sunday.
